Rekordinis Modern Warfare 3 startas
-
Tie, kurie galvojo, kad Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 nepavyks aplenkti praėjusių metų Black Ops rekordų, tegul galvoja iš naujo. Šiandien Activision pranešė, kad Modern Warfare 3 vien JAV ir JK per pirmas 24 valandas buvo parduotas 6,5 milijonų kopijų tiražu. Tai naujas Call of Duty šaudyklių serijos rekordas.
Pirma para vien JAV ir JK leidėjams uždirbo daugiau nei 400 milijonų JAV dolerių. Activision tai vadina „sėkmingiausiu pramoginio projekto startu visoje istorijoje“. Tai net 40 milijonų dolerių daugiau nei pernai metų Black Ops, bei 90 milijonų daugiau negu 2009-ųjų Modern Warfare 2.
Call of Duty – vienintelis projektas, tris metus iš eilės laimėjęs minėtąjį titulą. Šiemet pagal pardavimo mastus, Call of Duty aplenkė net tokius kino filmus, kaip „Star Wars“ ir „Lord of the Rings“.
Nors rinkos analitikai iš anksto prognozavo milijoninius Modern Warfare 3 pardavimus, pirmadienį išleidę žaidimą, Activision leidėjai dar neturėjo laiko džiaugtis. Žaidimo socialinė platforma Elite vos startavusi, patyrė rimtus sutrikimus. Dėl to Activision registruotiems Elite klientams kaip kompensaciją pasiūlė vieną papildomą nemokamą mėnesį.
