Kuriamas naujas pilnametražis Mortal Kombat filmas
-
Pasirodo, kad kritikų išplūstas Mortal Kombat: Annihilation (ang.: naikinimas), visai nesunaikino šios kovinių žaidimų serijos potencialo didžiajame ekrane. The Los Angeles Times dienraštis šiandien paskelbė, kad Warner Bros. New Line Cinemas divizija planuoja filmuoti pilnametražį Mortal Kombat filmą, kuris galėtų pasirodyti jau 2013 metais.
Pasak The Los Angeles Times, būsimo filmo režisieriumi paskirtas Kevin Tancharoen, kuris visai neseniai sukūrė trumpametražių, internetinių, realaus veiksmo filmų seriją, Mortal Kombat: Legacy. Režisieriui į pagalbą ateis jo partneris scenaristas, Oren Uziel. Šis duetas dar anksčiau dirbo ir ties Mortal Kombat: Rebirth – reklaminis video YouTube kanale, vėliau įžiebęs visą Mortal Kombat: Legacy filmų seriją.
Mortal Kombat: Annihilation – antrasis Mortal Kombat tematikos filmas išvydęs didįjį ekraną. Tai įvyko 1997 metais. 1995 metais pasirodė pirmasis originalus Mortal Kombat ir nors filmas sulaukė įvairių atsiliepimų, savo kuklų 25 milijonų dolerių pradinį biudžetą sugebėjo paversti net į 120 milijonų dolerių pelną.
Warner Bros. New Line kompanija tikisi filmą pristatyti kartu su sekančiu Mortal Kombat žaidimu. Kokiu ir kada tiksliau? Detalesnės informacijos kol kas trūksta.
