Žaidžiamiausias metų PC žaidimas - League of Legends

Šiaurės Amerikos ir Europos labiausiai žaistu žaidimu šiais metais tapo vaidmenų žaidimas, League of Legends. Statistinių tyrimų kompanija DFC Intelligence savo ataskaitoje pateikiama Xfire žaidimų sistemos analizė, kurioje League of Legends pasiglemžia daugiau nei 21 milijonų vartotojų bei 1,3 milijardų žaidimo valandų nuo 2011 metų liepos 1 dienos iki 2012 metų birželio 30-osios.
Diablo III, kuris gyvuoja dar tik 45 dienas, sugebėjo užimti 5-ąją vietą su 172,9 milijonais žaidimo valandų. World of Warcraft, dar vienas Blizzard leidėjų žaidimas, pasižymėjo kritusiu žaidėjų skaičiumi, tačiau visgi sugebėjo išlaikyti antrąją vietą su 622,4 milijonais žaidimo valandų. Žaidimas Minecraft užėmė garbingą antrąją vietą su 371,6 milijonais žaidimo valandų.
„Faktas, kad toks internetinis žaidimas, kaip League of Legends peržengė milijardo žaidimo valandų ribą per vienerius metus, tiesiog neįtikėtinas.“ sakė DFC Intelligence vadovas, David Cole. Jis palygino League of Legends su Halo 2, kuris nuo 2004 metų tik dabar sugebėjo peržengti 2 milijardus žaidimo valandų ribą. Skirtumas tikrai stulbina.
